Last year, Andy Lefevere concluded his rally season with a handsome second place in the Kortrijk Rally. During the winter months, all of Andy’s attention went to building a new showroom and workshop for Yprauto.
After all, the Mitsubishi EVO X R4 was completely renovated last year and is consequently race-ready. “But the new construction took a lot more time than originally planned. We can only start the actual move in a month.” said the business manager of Yprauto.
Andy would have loved to be at the start of the TAC Rally in Tielt, but could not free himself up enough to properly prepare for the race. It was therefore decided to start only in the ORC Rally. By mid-May, the move from Ypres to Oostnieuwkerke should be completed and Andy will be able to free up more time for rallying again.
“After Kortrijk, we put the EVO aside and I have had very little time to work out a program. It will take some getting used to again in the ORC after almost 6 months, but I don’t think I’m going to have lost it.” laughs Andy.
