Next Sunday, Andy Lefevere and Andy Vangheluwe will depart with start number 3 on the Porsche 997 GT3 at the Hemicuda Rally.

“When I drove the Lancer it was always dry and now that we are driving the Porsche it looks like we will get to drive in the rain again,” smiles Andy when we ask him about his chances for next Sunday. “No, I’m not going to focus too much on the overall standings, of course it’s very unfortunate that Patrick is forfeiting, but with Fredericq I also have a good reference. We have continued to work on the geometry, and I must say that we do have some work to do on the Porsche…. During the build-up we departed a little too much from the BMW, but that engine at the back makes the car completely different.”

In the past Andy Lefevere already won 6x the Hemicuda Rally, Fredreicq Delplace proved in 2017 that you can also win in the Hemicuda with a Porsche but Andy is realistic. “It’s my third race with the Porsche, and like I already said I see my first year as a year to learn. But we’re not going to stand still either lol, so a top 5 should be achievable,” concluded the Yprauto business manager.
