Next Sunday, Andy Lefevere and co Marc Noppe will take part in the Rally of the Monteberg. The duo received start number 7 on the doors of the Porsche 997 GT3.
“A seventh place, I’m willing to sign for that,” Andy laughs. “No, it will be some searching again. In the lock-down I’ve been tinkering with the Porsche’s suspension, but it’s only in a race that we’re going to see the result… No doubt we’ll have to make some adjustments.”
Andy Lefevere had the long-awaited Porsche 997 GT3 debut at last year’s Rally of Staden, in the Hemicuda Rally he could already record the first victory in the Porsche.
“On a sporting level there is nothing left to prove this year… If all goes well I will still drive the Hemicuda with the Porsche, Ypres I will pass me by. I’m more curious to go and see how Neuville and co will drive those WRCs here…”
Andy Lefevere already won the Monteberg Rallysprint 3x in the past, however, it has been since 2015 since he rode here.
